Pulley Press
After taking Irish Literature with Professor Frances McCue, I reached out to her asking about the independent poetry press that she co-founded, Pulley Press. Professor McCue invited me to a staff meeting and I began working for her as an intern during the summer before junior year. As an intern, I researched and wrote blogs for the website and participated in collaborative team meetings, developing skills in marketing, digital organization, communication and teamwork. This experience gave me the chance to see the inner workings of the publishing world, allowing me to familiarize myself with the editorial process and the importance of intentional branding and community outreach efforts.

Nurturing Knowledge School
Since the beginning of sophomore year, I have worked part-time for Nurturing Knowledge School, an educational organization that operates Reggio Emilia-inspired programs for a variety of age groups. During the 2022-23 school year, I worked as a teaching assistant in an after-school program, primarily based in K-2nd grade classroom. After studying abroad, I returned to NKS, working at one of their preschools in the Maple Leaf neighborhood over the summer. Being a part of this organization has allowed me to gain experience in early childhood education, building strong relationships with my students and their parents as well as utilizing leadership and problem solving skills.
